Softball Recap: Monroe City Drops Season-High Score on Hannibal

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monroe City). They walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Hannibal Pirates on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Monroe City's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hannibal, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe City will host South Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hannibal, they will challenge Clark County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
