Softball Recap: Bennett Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Bennett was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the Centaurus Warriors, falling 20-1. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Jagoda Gutowska made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Bennett's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Centaurus, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, Bennett will head out on the road to challenge Englewood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centaurus, they will square off against Monarch at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
