There's no place like home for Millennium, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the River Islands Riptide 48-25 on Monday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Sarah Digiallonardo was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 23 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Millennium's points. Another player making a difference was Gianna Negrete, who posted seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Millennium smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

Millennium's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-6. As for River Islands, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Millennium wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 33-31 defeat against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on the 24th. As for River Islands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-33 loss against Central Catholic on the 23rd.
