Basketball Game Preview: Alta Loma Braves vs. Colony Titans

Alta Loma is 2-8 against Colony since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Alta Loma Braves will head out to square off against the Colony Titans at 5:00 p.m. Alta Loma will be strutting in after a victory while Colony will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Alta Loma beat Los Altos 58-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Alta Loma found their leader in sophomore Mia Valle, who went 10 for 24 en route to 27 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Britain Hall, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Colony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-22 loss at the hands of San Dimas. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 805th, while the Saints are ranked 205th).

Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Alta Loma, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Alta Loma strolled past Colony when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 61-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alta Loma since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
