Football Recap: Anderson Starts off Right with Win over Cooper + How To Watch

Anderson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Cooper Jaguars to the tune of 52-10. The Raptors pushed the score to 32-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars had little chance of recovering from.

Anderson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Davis led the charge by rushing for 101 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. Another signal caller making a difference was Owen Scalf, who threw for 333 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes.

When it comes to explaining why Cooper lost, don't look at Keagan Maher. Despite the final result, he rushed for 176 yards and one score.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anderson will host West Clermont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Raptors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Cooper, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
