Soccer Game Preview: Rockmart vs. North Murray

Rockmart is 0-6 against North Murray since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Rockmart Yellowjackets will look to defend their home pitch against the North Murray Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Rockmart lost 7-3 to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on Friday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Yellowjackets were already down 5-1.

Riley Gober and Ezra Robillard scored all three of Rockmart's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, North Murray's game last Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Dalton Academy by a score of 1-0. The Mountaineers haven't had much luck with the Pumas recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

This is the second loss in a row for Rockmart and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for North Murray, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
