Basketball Recap: Lake Region Takes a Loss

After soaring to 62 points the game before, Lake Region was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They were beaten by the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks 67-26. The Thunder were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

It was another big night for Tate Darner, who went 12 of 13 en route to 29 points and six rebounds for Santa Fe Catholic. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Knox, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points.

Lake Region dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Santa Fe Catholic, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Discovery the next time they take the court. Santa Fe Catholic will head out to face Discovery at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lake Region will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
