Desert Christian waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Madison Highland Prep Heat with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Desert Christian was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9, 25-14.

Alexa Yarger paced Desert Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Yarger got some help from Abby Numer and her 17 assists. Addie Jones and Rilyn Papanikolos kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Desert Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Madison Highland Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Desert Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Benson on the 7th. As for Madison Highland Prep, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wickenburg at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
