West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 36-20 to the Lansing Lions. The Chargers lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-0 score last time.

West's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nasir'E Williams-Brown, who rushed for 85 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, and also picked up 71 receiving yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Josiah Wilkie, who threw for 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Jaxon Pollard had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 197 yards and four TDs for Lansing.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lansing, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
