Football Recap: Plainfield Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Plainfield Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Metea Valley Mustangs and fell 48-7. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 31-6 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

TOMMY MORRISETTE threw for 129 yards and one touchdown. COLE CAMPBELL was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards and one score.

Plainfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Metea Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Plainfield Central and Metea Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats are set to face off against their familiar foe Romeoville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Metea Valley will challenge rival Naperville North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
