It was a Battle of the Birds when Flowery Branch duked it out with Eastside on Friday. Flowery Branch blew past Eastside 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Flowery Branch's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Eastside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flowery Branch will welcome North Oconee at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. North Oconee will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Flowery Branch surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
