Lewis Central is 8-2 against Jefferson since June of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Titans will challenge the Yellowjackets at 10:00 a.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Jefferson will be up against a hot Lewis Central team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Titans' pitchers stepped up to hand Kuemper a 13-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 18 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Jefferson not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since June 17th (when they won 12-4). They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Lincoln. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Lynx recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lewis Central's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-23.

Lewis Central couldn't quite get it done against Jefferson when the teams last played back in July of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
