Basketball Recap: Biggs Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Allie Little and Marcella Solis-Lopez

After flying high against Williams last Tuesday, Biggs came back down to earth. The Biggs Wolverines took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Princeton Eagles. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 56-30.

Despite the loss, Biggs had strong showings from Marcella Solis-Lopez, who posted five points along with 17 rebounds and three steals, and Allie Little, who earned five points in addition to 12 boards and four steals. That's the most boards Little has posted since back in December of 2024. Mailey Seipert was another key player, putting up eight points.

The defeat snapped Biggs' winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-4 record. As for Princeton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

Biggs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-48 victory against Quincy on the 31st. Princeton has also already played their next contest, a 51-48 loss against Loyalton on the 31st.
