Recap: River City Raiders vs. Center Cougars
The River City Raiders's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against Center as River City made off with a 57-35 win. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for River City's 14-point performance the contest before.
Despite the loss, Center still got an impressive performance from Miessah Sagun, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. The contest was Sagun's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleena Castellanos, who scored 8 points.
River City now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Center, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River City will take on Weston Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Weston Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 845th, while River City is ranked 302nd). As for Center, they will be playing at home against Rio Linda at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rio Linda focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
