Football Recap: Hanover Park Piles Up the Points Against Glen Ridge + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hanover Park). They breezed past the Glen Ridge Ridgers to the tune of 42-7 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

It was another big night for Jack Kovacs, who rushed for 149 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 85 yards and one TD. Those 149 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Dante Rosato helped out on the ground, rushing for 100 yards.

Glen Ridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aiden Kelly, who rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown, and Zach Konetzni, who rushed for 187 yards while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.

The victory keeps Hanover Park at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.3 points this season. As for Glen Ridge, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Hanover Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 63-0 victory against Parsippany on the 26th. As for Glen Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-14 loss against Hoboken on the 26th.
