The Harvester Christian Academy Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harvester Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Harvester Christian Academy took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Central Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Meanwhile, Johnson Ferry Christian Academy had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Cornerstone Prep Academy 7-6. The Saints' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Will Tucker, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Will Miller was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
The win (which was Harvester Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal.
