Basketball Recap: South Has No Trouble Against El Segundo

South won the last time they faced El Segundo and things went their way on Tuesday too. The South Spartans blew past the El Segundo Eagles 51-31. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Eagles are ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for El Segundo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-11.

As of now, neither South nor El Segundo have any future games scheduled.
