David Gaytan Game Report: vs Non Varsity Opponent

For the first time ever, David Gaytan turned in triple-digit rushing yards on Thursday. He rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns as Jal fell to Non Varsity Opponent 34-16. We think that's the best game he's posted since October 4th, 2024, when he forced one fumble, made 18 total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Gaytan and Jal will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Texico at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. Gaytan had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in November of 2024 52-0. Could another big game from him be enough to change the outcome this time?
