Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schurr). They blew past the Montebello Oilers, posting an 80-0 win. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Oilers are ranked 1189th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Schurr is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.4 points per game. As for Montebello, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Schurr has already played their next game (against Bell Gardens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Montebello and San Gabriel will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
