Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jah'asharee Moore and Janiah Lorn Lead Jordan to Victory

Jordan hadn't done well against Woodrow Wilson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Jordan Panthers enjoyed a cozy 62-46 win over the Woodrow Wilson Bruins. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.

Leading Jordan to victory were Janiah Lorn and Jah'Asharee Moore. Lorn dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Moore dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Those 17 points gave Lorn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Diamond Toomalatai, who posted ten points.

Jordan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Jordan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Woodrow Wilson, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8.

Jordan will venture away from home to face off against Lakewood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakewood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will head out on the road to challenge Cabrillo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
