Softball Game Preview: Berryhill Chiefs vs. Collinsville Cardinals

The Berryhill Chiefs will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Collinsville Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Berryhill is leaving town to face Collinsville after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Chiefs lost 15-2 to Dewey on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Chiefs have suffered since September 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, Collinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Tahlequah, falling 10-0.

Berryhill was able to grind out a solid victory over Collinsville in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
