Paulding County has gone 9-1 against Hiram recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Paulding County Patriots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Hiram Hornets at 5:55 p.m.

Paulding County is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell 4-1 to Kennesaw Mountain on Friday.

Paulding County got a good showing from Hunter Redden, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave Redden a new career-low in walks (one).

On the hitting side, Paulding County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Lehman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Hiram had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Cardinals.

Josh Tuggle was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Those runs marked the first that he's scored this season. Tristen Hightower was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double.

Paulding County took their victory against Hiram in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Paulding County repeat their success, or does Hiram have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
