Basketball Recap: Redwood Falls Short of California in the Playoffs

Redwood and California squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Redwood had to settle for second. They took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the California Grizzlies.

California got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sofie Addiego out in front who went 6-for-11 on her way to 17 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Yee, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 19 points and five assists.

Redwood's defeat dropped their record down to 24-10. As for California, their victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-11.

Redwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for California, they will take on Caruthers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. California is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
