Baseball Recap: Southwood Knights vs. Northfield Norsemen
Southwood had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 1-12 to make it five. They came up short against the Northfield Norsemen, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.
As for Northfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games.
For Northfield's part, Caleb Dubois was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. As for Northfield, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against Frankton on the 15th.
