Baseball Game Preview: Elwood Panthers vs. Tipton Blue Devils

The Elwood Panthers will face off against the Tipton Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Elwood and three for Tipton.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Elwood lost 15-1 to Eastbrook.

West Lafayette hit Tipton with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils.

Piercen Nasser and Jacoby DeFoe did some serious damage despite the final result: Nasser went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while DeFoe got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Tipton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Elwood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
