Downey entered their tilt with Central Catholic on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Raiders.

Zaniyah Corneille paced Downey's offense, picking up 16 kills. Corneille got some help from Norah Niskanen and her 11 assists.

Downey's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Central Catholic, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Downey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against College Park on the 11th. As for Central Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Atwater on the 11th.
