Baseball Game Preview: Worth County Rams vs. Irwin County Indians

The Worth County Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Irwin County Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Irwin County will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Worth County extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand Berrien a 9-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Irwin County had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They blew past the Trojans 11-1.

Irwin County's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Worth County, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.

Everything went Worth County's way against Irwin County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Worth County made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
