Edwards County hadn't done well against Mt. Zion recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lions came out on top against the Braves by a score of 2-0. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on five straight.

Edwards County was led to victory by Jaycee Kolb and Braelyn Troyer. Kolb had eight digs and two aces, while Troyer had five digs and one assist.

Edwards County's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mt. Zion, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
