Volleyball Recap: Old Lyme Wins Going Away Against Wheeler

It was a proper cat-fight when Old Lyme duked it out with Wheeler on Monday. The Wildcats blew past the Lions 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Old Lyme walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21, 25-18.

Maya LeQuire paced Old Lyme's offense, picking up 15 kills. LeQuire got some help from Kaylyn Vernon and her 12 assists. LeQuire was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Old Lyme's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Wheeler, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

As of now, neither Old Lyme nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
