Soccer Recap: Albuquerque Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Santa Teresa

The Albuquerque Academy Chargers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors's two. Cruz Tomori had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Albuquerque Academy.

Albuquerque Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 57 goals over those 16 contests. As for Santa Teresa, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 18-4 record.

Albuquerque Academy didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against St. Pius X on the 8th. Santa Teresa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
