Basketball Game Preview: Lindsay Cardinals vs. Orosi Cardinals

We've got a battle between Cardinals coming up. Orosi took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lindsay, who comes in off a win.

Lindsay is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 61-43 win over Granite Hills on Friday.

Melanie Navarro was her usual excellent self, putting up 31 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. She is becoming a predictor of Lindsay's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 8-13 when she doesn't). Brianna Jara was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Lindsay was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Orosi came up short against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on Friday and fell 48-41. The Cardinals have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Orosi now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Lindsay, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Lindsay beat Orosi 34-21 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lindsay since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
