Softball Recap: Rome Comes Up Short

Kennesaw Mountain hit Rome with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves came up short against the Mustangs, falling 10-2. The Wolves have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Brooklyn Landsdell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Rome's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Kennesaw Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.

Looking ahead, Rome will take on Coosa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.45 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. Kennesaw Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
