Franklin has gone 8-2 against Chavez recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Franklin Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Chavez Titans at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Franklin's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Chavez has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, Franklin beat Edison 3-1. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Vikings are ranked 662nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loriauna Thongdee and Janelli Villagran scored all three of Franklin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 37 goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chavez's offense. They lost 3-0 to Stagg on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly three goals.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-2.

Franklin took their victory against Chavez in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Franklin repeat their success, or does Chavez have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
