Soccer Recap: Gridley Takes a Loss

Gridley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Las Plumas Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in January.

Gridley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Las Plumas, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Gridley nor Las Plumas have any future games scheduled.
