Basketball Recap: Mount Union Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Mount Union, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels by a score of 39-31 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Mount Union had a senior duo take command as Maddie Dimoff posted 13 points and Cailyn Skopic put up 12 points.

The victory got Mount Union back to even at 1-1. As for Moshannon Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mount Union didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-28 defeat against Claysburg-Kimmel on the 9th. As for Moshannon Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 37-26 win against West Branch on the 9th.
