Baseball Recap: Piedmont Academy Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Piedmont Academy's offense. They lost 6-0 to the First Presbyterian Day Vikings on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Cougars couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Piedmont Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for First Presbyterian Day, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Coming up, First Presbyterian Day will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Gatewood at 5:30 p.m. Piedmont Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' contest: after the Vikings face off against the Gators, they'll take on Piedmont Academy again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
