Softball Recap: Grand Junction's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Basalt on Tuesday, Grand Junction came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaparral Wolverines on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Alysa Lorimor made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Lorimor is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grand Junction fell to 2-1. As for Chaparral, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Grand Junction didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Mead on the 22nd. As for Chaparral, they have also already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Lowndes on the 22nd.
