Football Recap: Forest Lake Victorious

The Forest Lake Rangers earned a 31-20 victory over the Anoka Tornadoes on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.

When it comes to explaining why Anoka lost, don't look at Blake Sieben. Despite the final result, he rushed for 75 yards and one TD, and also threw for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns. 81 of those passing yards were hauled in by Brody Lakanen, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Forest Lake has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Anoka, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Forest Lake will take on Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anoka, they will square off against Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Tornadoes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
