Logan View/Scribner-Snyder took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the North Bend Central Tigers 10-9. The victory continues a trend for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder in their matchups with North Bend Central: they've now won three in a row.

Marah Fischer made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Fischer was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avah Ruwe, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Rachel Purvis, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Coming up, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will be taking part in a tournament against Nebraska City at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for North Bend Central, they will challenge Fort Calhoun at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
