Basketball Recap: Bishop Carroll Skates Past Bedford with Ease

Bishop Carroll's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They breezed by the Bedford Bisons to the tune of 60-25. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Bisons are ranked 381st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Carroll was led to victory by Ava Pablic and Emily Lucko. Pablic posted 13 points and six steals, while Lucko dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Lucko a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Madison Delauter, who earned three points and four steals.

Bishop Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Bedford, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Carroll will face off against Bishop McCort at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bedford, they will square off against Penn Cambria at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
