Basketball Game Preview: Wallace Wildcats vs. Sutherland Sailors

Wallace is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Sutherland an eight-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Wallace Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Sutherland Sailors at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wallace is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Hyannis on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats lost 43-23 to the Longhorns.

Despite the defeat, Wallace had strong showings from Kaley Sauser, who posted six points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Reagan Finley, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-11, which was the final score in Sutherland's tilt against Maywood/Hayes Center on Tuesday. The Sailors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-2.

Sutherland's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wallace, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-4.
