Elizabeth Canales posted a new career-low in walks on Thursday. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Canales and Valor Christian will host Columbine at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Canales has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (she's averaged 9.2 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering the Rebels have only allowed 3.23 per game this season.
