West Philadelphia had won 17 straight home games dating back to last season and Kashay Ryder did her part to make it 18 on Friday. The West Philadelphia Speedboys strolled past the Paul Robeson Huskies with points to spare, taking the game 56-38 thanks in part to Ryder, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (five).

Another player making a difference was Badji Tall, who posted five points and 13 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last three games she's played.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chloe Reaves, who put up 23 points. Amodjonae Mitchell was another key player, putting up ten points.

West Philadelphia has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points over those games. As for Paul Robeson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Looking ahead, West Philadelphia will head out on the road to square off against Frankford at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankford's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so West Philadelphia's offense will have their work cut out for them. Paul Robeson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
