Basketball Preview: Valley Christian Vikings vs. Redwood Christian Eagles
The Valley Christian Vikings will be playing at home against the Redwood Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Tuesday, Valley Christian had to suffer through a rough 58-8 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Valley Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1228th, while the Eagles are ranked 607th).
Valley Christian's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Redwood Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.
Valley Christian was dealt a bruising 58-8 loss at the hands of the Eagles when the teams last played on Tuesday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Redwood Christian's Nia Rogers, who scored 34 points along with eight steals and six assists.
