Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairbury). They put the hurt on the Ord Chanticleers with a sharp 13-6 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jeffs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Fairbury pushed their record up to 3-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Ord, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Fairbury has already played their next match, a 19-6 loss against Crete on the 2nd. As for Ord, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Adams Central on the 28th.
