Softball Recap: Thomasville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

While it was Thomasville who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Bacon County who put up more. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Ava Simpson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Heidi Barrow also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Thomasville and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Bacon County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

While Thomasville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
