Baseball Recap: Reedley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Reedley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Immanuel Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

Reedley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-12. As for Immanuel, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-12.

Reedley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Immanuel, they will challenge Monache at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marauders have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
