Stern waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 38-26 win over the Animo De La Hoya Boxers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-19 last Wednesday.

Stern is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.9 points per game. As for Animo De La Hoya, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Stern and Torres will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Stern is facing Torres at the right time seeing as Torres is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
