Football Recap: Clovis Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Clovis extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They fell 41-28 to the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 13 points.

As for Carlsbad, the victory got them back to even at 3-3. That looming 41-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Carlsbad was led to victory by MARLEY MUNOZ and BROCK WRIGHT. MUNOZ rushed for 127 yards and one TD, while WRIGHT rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. WRIGHT is becoming a predictor of the Cavemen/Cavegirls' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). ROBERT CASTANEDA also helped out with an impressive 112 receiving yards.

Looking ahead, Clovis will take on Las Cruces at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bulldawgs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Carlsbad, they will challenge Organ Mountain at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cavemen/Cavegirls will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
