Soccer Game Preview: M.L. King vs. Stone Mountain

M.L. King is 0-3 against Stone Mountain since March of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. M.L. King will head out on the road to take on Stone Mountain at 7:30 p.m. M.L. King has given up an average of 5.4 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for M.L. King's offense. They came up short against Midtown on Friday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, M.L. King can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Midtown are ranked 130th).

Meanwhile, Stone Mountain was able to grind out a solid victory over North Clayton on Friday, taking the game 3-1.

M.L. King's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Stone Mountain, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

M.L. King might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Stone Mountain when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can M.L. King avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
